Ozwald Boateng received his first suit from his mother at the age of 8. While studying computer science at Southgate College he was introduced to cutting and designing by his girlfriend. Using his mother's old sewing machine, he started designing and selling to his fellow students, and switched courses to fashion and design. He opened his first studio in Portobello Road in 1991. In 1994, he staged his a catwalk presentation during Paris Fashion Week, the first tailor to do so in Paris. His boutique on Vigo Street opened in 1995. In 2005 he was honored with a major 20 year retrospective event at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has created bespoke costumes for TV and movies and designed amenity kits for Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class.

Jacqueline Shaw is a professional fashion designer and eco-entrepreneur, with a background working and designing for fashion companies such as PUMA, Russell Athletic, Ocean Pacific, Fila and Chilli Pepper. She is the owner of ethical designer wedding dress company Latibeau Ltd.
